Meet the team
Salina grew out of ideas around mental health at April19 Discovery, and found a home at Salina Health in 2022.
Richard comes from an AI and machine learning background (undergraduate and D.Phil), with a career in software consulting.
He has applied AI techniques in drug discovery, financial prediction, and cognitive modelling. In software, he has wide experience in advising and developing software with agile engineering teams.
Suran completed his PhD at University College London (UCL) in machine learning and co-founded Searchspace, a company that detects ‘unusual patterns’ in financial transactions. It was acquired for $150m.
He is also a Visiting Professor at the Centre for AI at UCL
Andy is a Consultant Psychologist with a PhD in Psychological Medicine. He has vast experience in a range of roles, including supervisor, mentor, researcher, lecturer, trainer, and consultant.
He has 40,000+ clinical hours assessing and treating patients with a range of complex mental health disorders.
He is a Fellow with the British Psychological Society and a Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
Richard is a venture capitalist and entrepreneur. He is a partner at The Conscious Fund, with a portfolio of 23 companies with 6 of its seed investments now being public companies on exchanges such as NASDAQ and NYSE.
He serves as the chair of Microdose, the market leading media company for the business of psychedelics. Microdose delivers the world’s largest trade event for psychedelic medicine, mental health and longevity: Wonderland Miami.
He is a co-founder of The Psychedelic Medicine Association, a public benefit corp.
He is an early pioneer of mental health and mobile tech: Digipill, Dream:On, and Pollen VC.
